Anita gets a box from Las Vegas with a head inside: a message from a vampire serial killer she has hunted before. She alerts the police there and learns it's worse: officers and a vampire executioner have been killed in ways only the supernatural could explain. Anita flies to Vegas with three other federal marshals, Edward among them. Near the victims she senses tigers, which puts her at odds with the city's weretigers, a powerful clan that wants something from her. Police case meets adult romance, with sex scenes.
