A teenage girl is kidnapped by vampires in St. Louis, and Anita, now a U.S. Marshal, is called in to get her back. In the lair she finds vampires who look like ordinary people, recently turned: children, the elderly, suburban parents. They would rather die than obey their master, a sign that more of them are out there.
