Quick recap

Anita lives with Micah and Nathaniel and is dating Micah and Jean-Claude. Musette, envoy of Belle Morte, the creator of Jean-Claude's bloodline, arrives to test his court in St. Louis. Meanwhile, two mercenaries size Anita up for a secret mission, and a string of brutal rapes and murders hits the city. Anita outplays Musette, who is forced to leave, and she and Jean-Claude take Asher to bed, which shields him from Belle Morte. With the police wary of her, Anita helps Zerbrowski find the killer: a werewolf on the mercenary team. After a clash that kills several officers, she hunts him down again and executes him. Adult romance, with sex scenes.
