Back in St. Louis after Las Vegas, Anita wants a bit of normal life with Jean-Claude, Micah, Nathaniel and the rest. But the Mother of All Darkness, the first vampire, whom everyone believed trapped or dead, wants a new human body to return to the world, and she has picked Anita. She attacks through bonds and dreams, and everyone close to Anita is in danger too. Anita has to find a way to fight something with no body and far away, without losing herself. The focus is relationships and power. Adult romance, with many sex scenes.
