Quick recap

Gabriel Cruz spent his career as a Weyland-Yutani security chief and barely survived a xenomorph attack. Now retired, he tries to rebuild his relationship with his estranged son, helped by a friend who is a Bishop-model synthetic. Civilian life goes badly: his son gets involved with anti-corporate activists, and that path leads right back to the place Gabriel escaped, where the creatures are still waiting. Gabriel has to face the aliens again, along with the choices he made in the company's service. The volume ends with the father making one last attempt to save his son from the fate he narrowly escaped himself.
