Quick recap

Washington, D.C., 2017. Cross is on trial for shooting several followers of Gary Soneji. Prosecutors paint him as trigger-happy; he swears it was self-defense. Even at further risk to his career, he agrees to help his old partner Sampson look for a string of missing young blond women, and the search leads them into the darkest corners of the internet, where violence is entertainment. With the trial playing out in public, even his family starts to doubt him. Cross has to clear his name and stop a dangerous criminal, even if it costs him his freedom. The ending wasn't checked against a reliable source, so it stays out.
