Quick recap

Washington, D.C., 1996. A controversial senator is found dead at his Georgetown home next to a rhyme signed Jack and Jill that promises more killings. At the same time, a young girl is beaten and dumped near the school of Cross's son, a few blocks from home. Cross works both cases at once. The duo goes after powerful people, and the list reaches the president. Through the school case he meets Christine Johnson, a principal who has just lost her husband. From afar, Gary Soneji sends word that the two will meet again. We found no reliable source for how the two cases end, so that stays out.
