Quick recap

Washington, D.C., 1997. Gary Soneji has broken out of prison, he's dying, and he wants to settle the score with Alex Cross first. Meanwhile, Thomas Pierce, a brilliant and stubborn investigator, is chasing another killer every bit as dangerous. Bodies pile up, Cross nearly dies in his own home, and the killers always seem a step ahead of the hunters. Now dating Christine Johnson, Cross has more to lose than ever. Soneji tries to kill Cross and a prison rapist, and the plan ends with him dead, burned by his own fire grenade. Pierce's case is left for the reader; we found no reliable source to tell it here.
