Quick recap

Washington, D.C., 2009. On Cross's birthday, news arrives: his niece Caroline, daughter of his late brother Blake, has been murdered in Virginia, her dismembered body left in the trunk of a mob-linked car. She was a high-end escort, and other young people in that world are dead or missing. The trail leads to a secret club, Blacksmith Farms, and a masked man called Zeus. The Secret Service and even the president try to take the case away. A survivor reveals that Zeus is Theodore Vance, husband of President Maggie Vance. At a Kennedy Center party, Cross confronts him, and a Secret Service agent kills Vance before the scandal breaks. Cross proposes to Bree, and Kyle Craig calls.
