Quick recap
Washington, D.C., 2013. Cross put plastic surgeon Elijah Creem away for abusing teenage girls. Once out, Creem changes his own face. Soon a young woman who just gave birth falls from a sixth-floor window, and her baby is missing. Cross gets pulled into a second crime, and when a third body turns up, the city panics, sure that several serial killers are loose. Locked on the cases, Cross doesn't notice someone tracking his every move, meaning to kill him. Ava, the girl the family took in, is also at the heart of the story. The ending wasn't checked against a reliable source, so it stays out.
