Quick recap

A British and a Soviet nuclear submarine both vanish. In Egypt, Bond and Major Anya Amasova, the KGB's top agent, compete for microfilm of a submarine tracking system, chased by the steel-toothed giant Jaws. The two governments agree to team up, and the pair reaches shipping magnate Karl Stromberg, who lives in Atlantis, a base that rises out of the sea off Sardinia. Anya learns Bond killed her lover and vows to kill him once the mission is over. Stromberg's plan: use the stolen subs, hidden inside a supertanker, to destroy Moscow and New York and start a new civilization under the sea. Bond frees the captured sailors, makes the subs destroy each other, kills Stromberg and rescues Anya, who lowers her gun in the end.
