Quick recap

Following a recorded message from the previous M, Bond causes chaos at the Day of the Dead in Mexico City and gets suspended. With secret help from Moneypenny and Q, he goes to Rome and slips into a meeting of a secret organization led by Franz Oberhauser, a boy Bond knew as a child and everyone thought was dead. A poisoned Mr. White asks Bond to protect his daughter, Madeleine Swann. She leads Bond to a desert base in Morocco, where Oberhauser reveals the name he took, Ernst Stavro Blofeld, and claims SPECTRE was behind everything Bond went through. In London, C, the new head of the service, wants to merge nine countries' intelligence into a system SPECTRE would control. Bond downs Blofeld's helicopter, leaves him alive to be arrested and drives off with Madeleine.
