A premature baby needs an incubator, and the wounded Croat leads the group to a prototype power generator before dying in Negan's arms. The Dama resurfaces with what's left of New Babylon's army, and Negan kills her. Maggie reconciles with Hershel, who starts training in medicine. Negan bonds with Dillard, the bartender, and executes Fabian for theft and treason. Dillard kills Renata and seizes control. In the final showdown, Maggie cuts off Dillard's arm, and he turns. A week later, Maggie leads the community, and Negan accepts the sheriff's badge as her second-in-command.
