Quick recap

After the series ends, Ronan lives on the family farm, the Barns, with Opal, the hoofed girl he pulled out of a dream. She tells the story, in the odd, half-wild voice of a dream creature. Opal watches Ronan and Adam, who now studies far away and comes back to visit, and tries to work out her place in this makeshift family. Familiar faces from the series drop by. The story is short and works as a warm epilogue to The Raven King and a bridge to the next trilogy, showing how Ronan is living after everything.
