Quick recap

Dr. Sturgis comes back and breaks up with Meemaw, who soon starts dating Dale, a sporting goods store owner. Missy joins the baseball team, Sheldon gets hooked on The Lord of the Rings and visits Caltech for the first time. The pandemic halted production, so the season closes with episode 21: Sheldon learns Mary hid a letter from Caltech inviting him to study there.
