Quick recap

Medford, Texas, 1989. Nine-year-old Sheldon Cooper skips straight to high school, in the same grade as his brother Georgie. His mom, Mary, worries he has no friends; his dad, George, a football coach, has no idea how to handle his genius son. Sheldon befriends Tam, discovers comic books, spends a stretch at a school for gifted kids in Dallas and comes back. When high school stops challenging him, he starts sitting in on Dr. Sturgis's physics classes at the university. The season ends with Meemaw, his grandmother, juggling two suitors, one of them Dr. Sturgis himself, while Sheldon meddles until she lays down rules.
