Quick recap

2029. John Connor is about to beat Skynet, but the machine has already sent a T-800 to 1984. Kyle Reese follows to protect Sarah and, mid-jump, sees John attacked. In 1984 everything has changed: Sarah has been trained since age 9 by a T-800 she calls Pops, sent by someone unknown after a T-1000 killed her parents. The three destroy the T-1000 and jump to 2017, when Skynet is about to launch as Genisys, an operating system for every device. There John shows up, turned into a T-3000 by Skynet, which has a human form in the T-5000 Alex. Pops traps John in the time machine's field and Cyberdyne's headquarters blows up. Pops comes back upgraded with liquid metal. Sarah and Kyle drive off together, free to choose their future.
