Quick recap

Years after T2, John Connor lives off the grid. Judgment Day never came in 1997, and his mother died of leukemia. Skynet sends the T-X, a Terminator that can control other machines, to kill John and future Resistance leaders, including veterinarian Kate Brewster. A reprogrammed T-850 arrives to protect them both and reveals that Kate will be John's wife. Her father, General Robert Brewster, runs the Skynet project and, pushed by a virus spreading through the networks, switches it on. Skynet takes over and the general dies. The Terminator destroys the T-X with its last power cell. John and Kate reach Crystal Peak thinking they can shut Skynet down. It's just an old shelter. The bombs fall, and John answers the radio as a leader.
