Quick recap

Years before Rebels, Kanan Jarrus is a hard-drinking smuggler who ducks every fight. The story goes back to explain why. During the Clone Wars he was Caleb Dume, padawan to Master Depa Billaba, fighting beside clones he trusted. When the Emperor issues Order 66, those same troopers open fire on the Jedi. Caleb survives, but loses his master and everything he knew, and goes on the run from clones still hunting him. The volume ends with the boy alone, burying his Jedi identity and taking the name Kanan to stay alive.
