Quick recap

Shu-Torun is a mining world that supplies the Empire with ore, and its people revolt. The Empire won't stand for it, and the Emperor sends Vader to lead the crackdown. It's another test: he has to prove he's more useful than Cylo's cyborgs. Vader cozies up to young Trios, of the royal family, and plays the ore barons against each other while Aphra and the droids handle the dirty work. The volume makes it clear that fighting beside Vader is safer than fighting against him. It ends with the revolt crushed and Trios on the throne, owing everything to Vader.
