Spoilers for this title

Quick recap

In 2371, Captain Kathryn Janeway takes the USS Voyager after a ship of Maquis. A being called the Caretaker pulls both ships into the Delta Quadrant, 70,000 light-years from home. To protect the Ocampa, Janeway destroys the only technology that could send them back, and the trip home becomes a 75-year journey. The two crews merge: Maquis leader Chakotay becomes first officer, B'Elanna Torres takes over engineering, and an emergency medical hologram, the Doctor, grows a life of his own. Along the way come the Kazon and, more and more, the Borg. In season four, ex-Borg Seven of Nine joins the crew. In the finale, an admiral Janeway from the future hands over the technology that gets Voyager home through a Borg shortcut, seven years after it vanished.
