Quick recap

In Los Angeles, Emma Carstairs lives with the Blackthorns and is still investigating her parents' deaths, which the Clave pins on Sebastian. Faeries turn up dead in a ritual tied to ley lines. The Wild Hunt returns Mark Blackthorn on one condition: solve the murders in secret. Emma and Julian, her parabatai, admit they love each other, a forbidden love. The clues lead to the legend of Lady Midnight and to Annabel Blackthorn. The culprit is Malcolm Fade, High Warlock of Los Angeles, who wants Annabel back. Emma sends him through a portal into the sea. Warned by Jem, Emma ends things with Julian and fakes dating Mark.
