Saint Seiya: Next Dimension

The story opens at the end of the battle with Hades and jumps back 243 years to the 18th-century Holy War. Tenma, that era's Pegasus, is best friends with Alone, the orphan chosen as Hades' vessel. Tenma tries to save him and is beaten by the Specters. In the present, Seiya has been cursed by Hades' sword and has three days to live. Saori and Shun travel back in time to save him but overshoot: Athena turns into a baby, and the Sanctuary's leader of that time is in league with Hades. Tenma and Shun cross the Twelve Temples of the past, and Ikki, Shiryu and Hyoga join them. In the final stretch Apollo, the sun god, steps in, and the story closes setting up Heaven Chapter.

   Chapters ran in black and white in the magazine, but the volumes are full color. For the first 14 chapters, the page borders looked like a starry sky.

   The original idea was to run Next Dimension alongside The Lost Canvas as two takes on the same war. The stories drifted apart and the plan was dropped.

4. SetupThe story goes on

   After the finale, Kurumada put out the Saint Seiya Then epilogues, and on May 14, 2026, the sequel Heaven Chapter began in Shōnen Champion.
