Quick recap

Two years later, Darrow is House Augustus's lancer and loses the Academy's final contest. House Bellona wants him dead, and Nero is ready to drop him. Darrow gets close to the Jackal and, instead of following the Sons of Ares' plan, sparks a Gold civil war. He escapes with the Howlers, seizes ships, wins over the Obsidian Ragnar and old Lorn, and retakes Mars with an Iron Rain. He tells Mustang he's a Red, and she leaves. At the victory feast, Roque betrays him. The Jackal kills his own father, Lorn dies, Victra is shot by her sister, and Darrow sees Ares' severed head. He ends up the Jackal's prisoner.
