Quick recap

A cult called the Outsiders stages bandit raids, pretends to drive them off in the name of the god Alseiass, then robs the people. Halt learns the cult, led by Tennyson, already holds five of Hibernia's six kingdoms. Halt, Will and Horace head for Clonmel, the last one standing. Then comes the reveal: Halt is the twin brother of King Ferris, who tried to kill him when they were young. Ferris refuses to stand up to Tennyson, so Horace knocks him out and Halt poses as the king. Horace becomes the prophesied Sunrise Warrior and beats Tennyson's bodyguards, even while drugged. Will defeats a Genovesan assassin in a longbow-versus-crossbow duel. But Ferris is killed, and Tennyson escapes. Halt gives up the throne to his nephew Sean.
