The two become research fellows at the lab and start traveling to every region, from Kanto to Galar. Ash watches Champion Leon battle and enters the World Coronation Series, a global Trainer ranking, aiming to face him. Goh fills out his collection, starting with a Scorbunny. Ash gets a Dragonite, a Gengar and a Riolu that evolves into Lucario. The final arc puts Ash and Goh up against Mewtwo, with both their dreams on the line.
