Quick recap

Three years after Emerald, Gold is competing in Pokéathlon events when a Dragonite shows up and takes him to Ecruteak. Lance is missing, and Gold ends up battling Arceus. Team Rocket is back, now led by Archer, Proton, Petrel and Ariana, who are searching for the missing Giovanni. Silver sets out to stop them, learns about the Plates and Arceus's power, and runs into Crystal again at the Johto Safari Zone while she chases Arceus. The trio regroups at the Sinjoh Ruins, where Archer forces Arceus to create the Pokémon of myth. Giovanni, Lance and Pryce appear, Team Rocket is stopped, and the Spiky-eared Pichu brings Giovanni the medicine that heals him.
