Quick recap

Valentina, Elisa's best friend, has given up on love. Instead of balls, she just wants to live with dignity away from her father and her stepmother, who loves making her life miserable. A marriage proposal looks like a way out, passion or not. Then Captain Leon Navas, a rude, cheeky and gorgeous Spaniard, crosses her path. After an embarrassing mix-up, Valentina finds herself engaged to him, knowing almost nothing about the man. Then she has a terrible accident and sets out to prove it wasn't chance. Amid disguises and secrets she falls for him, not realizing the danger is still close.
