Quick recap

In 1714, clan chief Red Jacob MacKenzie dies without an heir, and Ellen MacKenzie brokers a deal: Colum becomes laird and Dougal war chief. Colum promises Ellen to Malcolm Grant, but she falls for Brian Fraser, the bastard son of the cruel Lord Lovat. In World War I England, Julia Moriston and Henry Beauchamp marry, and on a trip to Scotland the stones at Craigh na Dun pull them apart. Julia ends up in Lovat's hands; Henry ends up working for the Grants. In the finale, Brian learns Colum ordered his death, and Malcolm dies dueling him. Ellen runs off with Brian as the fiery crosses call the 1715 rising. Julia, Henry and their baby reach the stones, and the ending is left open.
