On Punk Hazard, a half-fire, half-ice island, the crew finds children kidnapped by the scientist Caesar Clown and forms an alliance with Trafalgar Law to bring down the Emperor Kaido. The plan runs through Dressrosa, kingdom of the Warlord Doflamingo, who sells artificial Devil Fruits to Kaido. Dressrosa looks like a fairy tale full of living toys, but the toys are transformed people everyone has forgotten. At a Colosseum tournament the prize is Ace's fruit, and the winner is Sabo, Luffy's brother everyone thought was dead. Doflamingo traps the island in a cage of strings. Luffy debuts Gear Fourth and beats him, the toys become people again and Law settles an old score with Doflamingo. Seven crews swear loyalty to Luffy.
