Quick recap

Shasta grows up as a fisherman's son in Calormen, south of Narnia. When he learns he's about to be sold, he runs away with Bree, a talking horse who wants to go home to the north. Along the way they meet Aravis, a young noblewoman fleeing an arranged marriage, and her mare Hwin. In Tashbaan, Aravis overhears Prince Rabadash plotting a surprise attack on Archenland and Narnia. The group crosses the desert to warn them, chased by a lion. Shasta warns King Lune, and the attack is beaten. Aslan turns Rabadash into a donkey. Shasta learns he is Cor, Lune's twin son, kidnapped as a baby, and heir to the throne. Later, he marries Aravis.
