Quick recap

Marple and Mr. Stringer are collecting for charity at the home of old Enderby, a wealthy recluse, when he tumbles down the stairs. It looks like a heart attack, but Marple finds a cat in the house, an animal he feared, and a riding-boot print in the mud. At the will reading, his sister Cora says it was murder and turns up dead the next day, stabbed with a hatpin. Another heir is trampled by a horse. Marple fakes a heart attack at a hotel dance and waits. The one who comes to silence her is Miss Milchrest, Cora's companion, in disguise. The motive was a painting of Cora's that looked worthless and was worth a fortune.
