Quick recap

A 1979 British collection that gathered the Miss Marple stories not yet in a UK book. There are six of her cases. In "Sanctuary," her goddaughter Bunch finds a dying man in the church. In "Strange Jest," a couple hunts for the fortune an eccentric uncle hid in his house. There's also a tape-measure murder, a maid wrongly accused of theft, an heiress who falls from her horse, and a case Miss Marple tells herself, in the first person. Two supernatural stories without her close the book: "The Dressmaker's Doll" and "In a Glass Darkly." Each story ends with the culprit found out, almost always through a household detail only she notices.
