Quick recap

Priscila is 13 and living in São Paulo when her parents split up. She moves to Belo Horizonte, and it feels like the end of the world: at the new school everyone already knows each other and the cliques are set. Little by little she sees a chance to be someone else and invents a new version of herself. Between her cousin Marina, her first friends, the animals she loves and the TV shows she binges, Priscila has her first crush and starts wondering whether the role she picked is the one she really wants to play. The season ends with her realizing that people matter more than places.

  2. Behind the scenesWhy seasons

Priscila is hooked on TV shows. Her cousin Marina gives her season one of Gilmore Girls, and the book name-drops Dawson's Creek, The O.C. and Smallville. That is why each volume is called a season.

Watch for Priscila's love of animals: she even writes a piece on pet ownership for her mom's newspaper. That side of her sticks around in later seasons.
