Quick recap

Matt Murdock grows up in Hell's Kitchen with his father, boxer Jack Murdock. As a boy, he saves an old man from a truck, is splashed with radioactive material, goes blind and gains razor-sharp senses. The old master Stick trains him, and the murder of his father, who refused to throw a fixed fight, marks Matt for life. In college he has an intense romance with Elektra that ends badly. Back in New York, Matt crosses paths with the Kingpin, who is taking over the city's underworld. In a makeshift black outfit, he sets out to rescue a kidnapped girl, and the story ends with the birth of Daredevil.

Trivia

  1. ReferenceThe origin Netflix used

Daredevil S1 borrowed from this miniseries, which retells Matt's origin. Steven DeKnight said the season doesn't adapt any single arc but aims for the spirit of the comics.
