Quick recap

After Philippi, Mark Antony and Octavian split the Roman world. Antony takes the East, Octavian the West and Rome. Antony needs money to conquer Parthia and turns to Cleopatra, queen of Egypt. She seduces him with a plan of her own: to make Caesarion, her son by Caesar, master of Rome. Antony spends more and more time in Alexandria while Octavian tightens his grip on Rome and turns public opinion against his rival. War breaks out, and Antony and Cleopatra's fleet loses at Actium, in 31 BC. In the end, in Alexandria, Antony and Cleopatra take their own lives, and Octavian is left alone in charge. The series closes in January 27 BC, when he receives the name Augustus.
