Two weeks after the brawl, Miguel is paralyzed, Robby is a fugitive, Miyagi-Do is shut down and Kreese has taken over Cobra Kai. Johnny sinks into guilt and drink. Daniel travels to Okinawa, Miyagi's homeland, and reunites with Chozen. Johnny scrapes together money for Miguel's surgery and helps him walk again. Robby, doing community service, falls under Kreese's wing. Ali returns to Los Angeles. At Christmas, Tory's students burst into the LaRusso house, and Miguel faces Kyler standing up. Kreese agrees to leave if Cobra Kai loses the next tournament. Kreese calls Terry Silver.
