Quick recap
Three years before the Lambert case, teenager Quinn Brenner goes to a retired Elise to reach her dead mother. Elise senses something bad and tells Quinn to stop. Soon after, Quinn sees a figure waving at her down the street, gets hit by a car and breaks both legs. Stuck at home with her dad and brother, she's tormented by the Man Who Can't Breathe, a spirit in an oxygen mask. Elise, grieving her husband and afraid of a Bride in Black hunting her in the Further, turns the case down at first. Quinn's dad calls Specs and Tucker, two internet ghost hunters. Elise comes back after all and goes into the Further. There, with help from her mother's spirit, Quinn rips off the spirit's mask and breaks free. Elise, Specs and Tucker decide to team up. At home, without noticing, Elise is being watched by the red-faced demon.
