Mockingjay

In District 13, Katniss agrees to become the Mockingjay, the face of the rebellion led by President Alma Coin, as long as the captured victors are pardoned. Peeta appears on Capitol TV calling for a ceasefire. Once rescued, he has been tortured into hating Katniss and tries to strangle her. The war reaches the Capitol, and Katniss's squad pushes through booby-trapped streets. Finnick dies in the tunnels. Outside Snow's mansion, bombs hit children and medics, and Prim is among the dead. Snow tells Katniss the order came from Coin. At Snow's execution, Katniss shoots Coin instead. Snow dies in the chaos. Katniss is sent home to District 12, where Peeta comes back. They rebuild a life together and, years later, have two kids, but the nightmares never fully go away.

   In the book, Effie isn't in District 13. In the movie, she's there and takes over from Katniss's prep team.
