Hiccup and Fishlegs run into the Hysterics, a tribe of lunatic Vikings, and flee. Soon Fishlegs falls ill with Vorpentitis, a disease from the sting of the Venomous Vorpent. Old Wrinkly says the only cure is the vegetable no one dares name, from the land that does not exist, and that Hiccup has until ten the next morning. With Camicazi and Toothless, he heads into Hysteric territory, where the vegetable grows. A mad chief, a trial by axe and an escape through the chimney are waiting.
