Quick recap

Wealthy Gordon Cloade is killed in a London air raid just after marrying a young widow, Rosaleen. With no will, the fortune goes to her and her brother, David Hunter, leaving the Cloade family, who lived on Gordon's money, with nothing. In 1946 a stranger arrives in Warmsley Vale claiming Rosaleen's first husband is alive. If so, her marriage to Gordon was void. Soon the stranger is found dead. Poirot, brought in by a Cloade aunt, discovers that almost nobody is who they claim to be, not the dead man and not Rosaleen herself. David is exposed, and young Lynn Marchmont ends up with her cousin Rowley.
