Quick recap

Dana Johnson can't stand his little sister Brandy, who gets everything. At her birthday egg hunt, Dana finds a pale green egg covered in veins and hides it in his drawer. By morning, a yellow, blobby creature has hatched. Dana takes it to a lab, where Dr. Gray explains these beings came from Mars and fell to Earth. Then he locks Dana in a freezing room full of them, worried about alien germs. The egg monsters merge into a blanket and keep him warm. When Gray threatens to freeze him, they leap onto the scientist, and Dana escapes. Days later, Dana feels oddly happy, squats on his friend Anne's lawn, and lays a huge egg.
