Quick recap

DiC's follow-up starts after the 1987 movie with the Operation: Dragonfire miniseries. Serpentor leads a weakened Cobra and goes after the Dragonfire. The Baroness betrays Serpentor and Destro and restores Cobra Commander to human form, and he takes back the organization and renews his alliance with Destro. Across 44 episodes, the show swaps most of the cast for new Joes from the current toy line and leans on two-part stories. Hawk stays in command, Storm Shadow now fights for the Joes and Sgt. Slaughter leads the new generation. There's no real finale: the last episode, in January 1992, is a recap.
