Quick recap

Larry Hama carries the 1982 story on from issue #301 without rebooting anything. The volume opens in the middle of the crisis #300 left behind: Serpentor is trying to set off a bomb, and the Joes race the clock to escape, with Wild Bill struggling to fly a plane out. Not everyone makes it. Then the team suspects Cobra is planning something in Springfield but doesn't know what the new weapon is. Dawn Moreno runs into cybernetically enhanced Vipers spying on Cobra Commander, and Serpentor sends more to infiltrate the Pit. In the end, Destro, the Baroness and Zartan strike alliances without knowing Zartan is a decoy for Serpentor, who keeps watching everything through the Vipers' eyes.
