Quick recap

Stannis's fleet reaches King's Landing, and Tyrion uses wildfire and a chain across the river to destroy it, fighting on the front line when Joffrey flees. The battle is only won when Tywin and the Tyrells arrive, and Tyrion ends up wounded and uncredited. At Winterfell, Theon rules without controlling the castle, and Bran and Rickon's escape drives him to a cruel decision; the castle ends in ruins. Beyond the Wall, Jon gets an impossible order from Qhorin Halfhand and goes over to Mance Rayder's wildlings. Daenerys leaves Qarth with her dragons. The second book ends with the Lannisters stronger than ever.
