Dom is living off the grid with Letty and little Brian until Roman, Tej and Ramsey bring news: Mr. Nobody's plane went down with Cipher on board, and someone is after Project Aries, which can hijack any weapons system. Behind it is Jakob, Dom's younger brother. Flashbacks to 1989 show their father dying in a race and why Dom blamed Jakob. Letty and Mia go to Tokyo and find Han alive, guarding Elle, the girl whose DNA unlocks Aries. Roman and Tej ride a rocket-powered car into space and destroy the satellite, and Dom and Jakob end up on the same side. Dom lets his brother go. Back home, the family gathers for the cookout, and Brian's car pulls up in front of the house.

• Mid-credits A hooded man pounds a punching bag, then pulls a guy out of it to get information. It's Deckard Shaw. There's a knock at the door: it's Han.
