Quick recap

Julius Caesar has just been stabbed to death by some twenty men, Marcus Brutus among them. The killers, who call themselves the Liberators, claim they acted for freedom and win an amnesty from the Senate. At the funeral, Mark Antony holds up an effigy of Caesar and describes each blow, and Rome erupts in riots, fires and looting. Caesar's will leaves nearly everything to young Octavian, 19, who swears a blood oath of revenge. Antony and Octavian set their rivalry aside to hunt the conspirators. Some flee Rome, others fall to the mob. After battles at sea and on land, the reckoning comes at Philippi, where Caesar's killers are defeated.
