Quick recap

Years after Majin Buu, Beerus, the God of Destruction, wakes from a 39-year nap looking for a Super Saiyan God he saw in a dream. With his attendant Whis, he visits King Kai and floors Goku in two hits. Then he heads to Earth, where Bulma is celebrating her birthday. Vegeta does everything to please him, even dancing, but a fight over pudding enrages the god, who knocks everyone down. Shenron explains the ritual: five pure-hearted Saiyans pour energy into a sixth. With Videl pregnant with Pan, the ritual works, and Goku becomes a Super Saiyan God. He narrowly loses, but Beerus, satisfied and sleepy, spares Earth. Whis reveals he's Beerus's teacher.
