A 2011 short that imagines another fate for Bardock. Instead of dying, he wakes up on a planet in the past, Planet Plant, where the doctor Ipana and his son Berry tend to his wounds. The place suffers under the space pirate Chilled, who attacks the village after Bardock beats his henchmen. When Chilled threatens Berry, rage turns Bardock into a Super Saiyan. The pirate's blasts don't even scratch him, and Bardock throws Chilled's final attack back and hurls him into space. Before dying, Chilled warns his family about the golden warrior. The short ends by tying that warning to the fear that, generations later, drives Frieza to wipe out the Saiyans.
