Quick recap

Tired of being the government's hitman, Christopher Smith, Peacemaker, leaves the Suicide Squad and wants to be recognized as a real superhero. He takes down a terrorist outfit, adopts a dog he names Bruce Wayne, and learns that radioactive villain Chemo is cloning an army of Deathstrokes to take over the world. Smith's loneliness, shaped by a childhood with an abusive father, comes through in flashbacks. Monsieur Mallah poses as an ally but works for Chemo and kidnaps the dog. With help from unlikely allies, like the old hero Red Bee, who dies saving him, Peacemaker wins. In the end, he gets a backyard birthday party, with Amanda Waller and the Squad.
